The gaming industry has surpassed the music and movie industry, combined! Making over $159.3 billion in revenue in 2020 and expected to rise next year due to the current world’s pandemic. Because of the increase in popularity, gamers now have more options to play their favorite games on.

Many popular titles like Knights of The Old Republic or Minecraft are available to play on mobile devices. Or Playstation exclusives are now being ported into the PC gaming realm like Horizon Zero Dawn. What will the games in 2021 bring to our gamer world?

With the release of two new gaming consoles (PS5 and Xbox X), we can expect many exclusives from Playstation and Microsoft. There are also rumors of Nintendo releasing a new Switch throughout 2021. As always, the PCMR (PC Master Race) will continue to thrive with newer and better processors and GPUs, offering a lot more into PC gaming.

Cyberpunk 2077

Yes, we know, Cyberpunk 2077 will release in December 2020, so technically, it’s a 2020 release. This game is still supposed to revolutionize the whole gaming industry—implementing new RPG features in an open-world game.

Developed by the well-known CD Projeckt Red, famous for The Witcher Game Series. You will travel through a dense cyberpunk metropolis filled with warring gangs, corrupt cops, and citizens to help. The protagonist will be highly customizable, giving you the ability to make your future cyberpunk self.

Keanu Reeves, who will play a prominent role in the game, has mentioned that there will be expansions for the game throughout 2021.

Halo Infinite

After a long and well-deserved break, one of the best videogames protagonists is back to fight the Covenant and The Flood. So far, what is known is that humanity has fallen, and it’s up to Master Chief to reclaim it. The release date was originally in 2020 but pushed to the summer of 2021.

But what most people want is the return of the classic multiplayer game mode that made Halo a household name. 343 Industries has already confirmed its return and has said it will be better than ever!

Vampire the Masquerade — Bloodlines 2

The unique RPG, open-world vampire game is back. After a long 16 years break, Hardsuit Labs, Inc. is ready to revive this franchise. Based in the city of Seattle, players will once again have to join or fight vampire clans to control the city.

Fable

One of the classics for PC and Xbox gamers, this Fable reboot will set gamers back to the city of Albion. Despite being developed by Playground Games, known for the Forza Horizon games, it promises to be an epic fantasy RPG, like its predecessor. With a broader array of choices that will affect Albion’s city’s overall state.

The release date is still not exact, but rumors have it being released in late 2021. Giving you a lot of time to join the PC gaming or X Box X community!

Eastward

If you are an enthusiast of retro style pixelated art, this will be the game for you. Based in a post-apocalyptic world, Eastward has you play two main protagonists at the same time! The gameplay will be puzzle-based as you try to uncover the mysteries of this dying world.

Project Wingman

Developed by an indie game studio, Project Wingman brings back the classic arcade-style combat flight action gameplay. Having an arsenal of fighter planes to choose from, you will have to fight other AI-controlled planes in air combats. You will also have the freedom of creating your own fighter squadron to fight off enemy pilots.

Bad news for gaming console users, as there is no known release date for consoles. If you need a PC, now is the time! Lenovo and other PC gaming hardware manufacturers are prepared to take on games like these.

Horizon Forbidden West

The sequel to one of the best videogames in 2017, Alloy will return in this Playstation exclusive. Now Alloy will journey to the post-apocalyptic setting of San Francisco, where she will meet more mechanical beasts. Guerrilla Games’ have not said anything about the plot, but we are sure it will be a fantastic one!

Yes, this is a Playstation exclusive, but without a doubt, they will expand it to other gaming platforms as they did with Horizon Zero Dawn. The release date is still to be established, but rumors have it around mid-2021. If you haven’t yet, play the masterpiece of a game, Horizon Zero Dawn, before tackling this new entry to the franchise.

Gotham Knights

Batman: Arkham Knight gave us a tiny taste of Robin and Nightwing, making gamers want more sidekick action. Fortunately, WB Games Montreal is developing a game based on all of Batman’s sidekicks. With the shocking news that Batman has died, Bat Girl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood must put on the cowl of justice and protect Gotham city.

New World

The multinational technology company known as Amazon will be releasing their own games in 2021. New World will set place in the year 1600 and will be a Battle Royale MMORPG. Mixing magical monsters and 16th century weaponry, you will have to fight to control specific areas of the world.

Many gamers are wary of this release, as the latest game (Crucible) Amazon released was lackluster. But gameplay videos show it can be a good year for Amazon.

Metroid Prime 4

Gaining over 2 million views within minutes, Nintendo teased a new Metroid Prime game on their Youtube Channel, despite not even showing actual gameplay! With Metroid: Samus Returns earning an overwhelming amount of positive reviews, there is high hope that this Metroid will be even better.

Elden Ring

Are you a follower of George R.R Martin? Do you enjoy games developed by FromSoftware? This is the game for you, as George R.R Martin is working with FromSoftware to develop a Souls-like game with the deep story of Game of Thrones. It will be an intense story-driven RPG based around the world of Demon Souls.

The release date is not officially verified, but some retailers have already placed the game for pre-order. So you can expect it to be released throughout 2021. As usual for any FromSoftware game, this game will be only for the elite skilled gamers out there.

Ready to send other pirates to Davy Jones’ locker? With Skull & Bones, you will be able to do that and more! This Ubisoft game will feature intense pirate MMO action. Players will need to plunder the seas and become the most notorious pirate ever.
